Become a T.R.E.E. Fête Sponsor!
A Celebration of Spring & 30 Years of Service:
The 2nd annual T.R.E.E. Fête is an outdoor fundraiser with talented performing New Orleans artists, hot boiled seafood, and libations, held only a levee away from the Mississippi River in Old Algiers.
Sponsorship is requested to cover event costs so that funds raised on the day of may be applied to conducting T.R.E.E.’s mission and implementing programs with New Orleans area public school students.
This year, T.R.E.E. is celebrating 30 years of service to the community. T.R.E.E.’s most recent key achievement is having started a new comprehensive science program for 3rd grade students called, Lost Treasures. After serving every 3rd grade student at the International School of Louisiana for two years, T.R.E.E. covered 75% of the science standards for the year, increased program-specific knowledge significantly, and science standardized test scores increased. This program differs from other T.R.E.E. offerings in that 70% of activities occur on and around school campus.
Volunteer Run & Zero Waste Initiatives:
T.R.E.E. Fête aligns with our mission as it is an almost zero waste event. All drinking and eating supplies are reusable, seafood shells are composted and all eligible materials are recycled by our partner, REALCYCLE. Last year, the event hosted about 300 people and there was less than one bag of waste that went to the landfill.
Volunteers will help deliver compost & recycling, clean eating and drinking supplies and monitor waste throughout the event.
