LOST TREASURES PILOT

Pilot program in collaboration with the institute for earth education

This program engages 3rd grade students to role play in a collaborative-like model, in order to find the lost treasures of the Animal, Mineral and Plant Kingdoms. They expand and share with others their understandings of the interrelationships of these kingdoms with Earth’s systems. Working mostly on their school campus, this program is experienced by children as a journey - entering their own story, receiving proclamations to challenge themselves and to work together, and discovering and taking on tasks found in a life-sized treasure chest. Students play the characters in the story through 50 different prompts and activities that typically last one-hour each and are designed to mimic the movements and outcomes of this story.

This program is in pilot stage. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us at tree@treetalk.org.
