Earth Education Research

Dr. Johnson and his Earth Education Evaluation Team through the University of Arizona's Education Department conducted a multi-year study of the knowledge and behavior changes New Orleans area students experienced after attending programs with T.R.E.E. The programs T.R.E.E. implements are those published by the Institute for Earth Education which shares the rights of use with education experts around the world.

Results from the evaluation team's efforts inform continued work in the area of understanding the impact of program experiences that are more conceptual than typical options, and equally balance conceptual learning with sensory learning. Dr. Johnson is a co-author of two of the programs T.R.E.E. conducts and is responsible for creating pre and post questionnaires that successfully measure knowledge and attitudes.
