 U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service – Bayou Sauvageheart

Offering many programs in natural areas, such as canoe trips. Bayou Sauvage offers visitors a chance to learn about Louisiana’s wilderness areas.


Canoe and Trail Adventure heart Hand 

Over 45 years Canoe and Trail Adventure has led tours through the Louisiana swamps, moving waters streams and creeks; plus many wilderness areas in numerous states. 


Earth Energy NOLA Lightbulb

Earth Energy NOLA focuses on how buildings and communities are built to incorporate energy efficient design, as to ensure Louisiana is environmentally and socially responsible.

Energy Wise Alliance Lightbulb

Providing energy efficient retrofits and energy use education to all residents in Louisiana, Energy Wise Alliance focuses on teaching and providing energy efficiency to Louisiana residence, specifically the underserved community.  

Global Green- Holy Cross Lightbulb

Global Green’s Holy Cross Project builds energy efficient homes in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina.  They also educate people on sustainable building techniques for homes and schools.


Global Green- Wetland Action Program Lightbulbheart

The Louisiana Wetland Action Program is working to communicate with private land owners, as well as government owned properties, to encourage and empower coastal restoration.

Green Light New OrleansLightbulb Hand

Green Light installs free energy efficient light bulbs to New Orleanians and provides materials and education on backyard gardens , demonstrating the impact that individual actions can make on our environment.

The Green Project sells reusable building materials, recycles paint, offers gardening and building workshops and hosts events promoting a greener New Orleans

Grow Dat Youth Farmheart Hand

Grow Dat’s mission is to educate a diverse community on how to grow food to create a more sustainable food system. They aim to shrink the food injustice in Louisiana.


Gulf Restoration Networkheart Hand

In order to restore the Gulf of Mexico and many other natural areas around the Gulf, Gulf Restoration Network aims to unite and encourage people to restore and protect Louisiana’s natural resources. 


Hike for KaTREEna/NOLA Tree Project heart Hand

Hike for KaTREEna, also known as NOLA Tree Project is dedicated to restoring the many trees lost during Katrina, in 2005. Involving many volunteers annually, they engage the community to care for the natural beauty of this city and it’s surrounding areas. 



Hollygrove Market and Farmheart Hand

Hollygrove sells locally grown and organic food products and offers training and workshops on many aspects of urban farming.  The site features composting, cistern irrigation, recycling and more.


Jean Lafitte National Historic Park and Preserve– Barataria Unit heartHand

Jean Lafitte shelters many animals and wetland and forest areas over thousands of acres.


Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundationheart

The group behind the Save Our Lake bumper stickers is dedicated to preserving the Lake Pontchartrain Basin.


Louisiana Bucket Brigadeheart Hand

Louisiana Bucket Brigade aims to help communities that are close to and affected by the surrounding oil refineries. 


Native American Knowledge – Grayhawk Perkins Handheart

Grayhawk Perkins has been involved in many environmental projects. This along with his Native American heritage has made him knowledgeable that he himself is a part of the Earth.



Natural Awakenings Magazine Hand

Natural Awakenings Magazine focuses on connecting people to holistic practices and helping the community strengthen and grow. 


New Orleans Food and Farm heart Lightbulb

New Orleans Food and Farm’s mission is to create a more sustainable and environmental food market in Louisiana. Training farmers, creating new markets for farmers, all to create a new food economy. 


NOLA Wise – Global GreenLightbulb

NOLA Wise, another project by Global Green, aims to provide energy efficient retrofits for homes all across New Orleans.


Parkway Partners Programheart

Parkway Partners transform vacant lots into gardens and help schools and citizens to build community gardens.


Regeneration SpringsHand

Donna, at Regeneration Springs, aspires to bring healing through natural places and spaces and holistic practices that can be learned and shared.  


Studio in the Woods Hand

Bringing artist and environmentalist together, A Studio in the Woods creates a space for creating with sustainable materials and a place to create thought that is environmentally centered. 


Urban Farmstead Hand

One of the central gardens of Southbound Gardens, Urban Farmstead is the main site for workshops, growing, and events centered around responsible gardening and farming. 


Woodlands Conservancy heart

Woodlands Conservancy focuses on creating a public place to engage with the many recreational opportunities in Louisiana, in hopes of creating a community dedicated to preserving and caring for our natural areas.
